Welcome to SitWithSenior. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the SitWithSenior website and services (the “Platform”). By registering for, accessing, or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
1. About the Platform
SitWithSenior is an online marketplace that connects individuals seeking career guidance (“Seekers”) with verified working professionals (“Mentors”) for paid, one-on-one video sessions. A Seeker requests a session with a Mentor, the Mentor confirms, the Seeker pays online, and a Google Meet link is generated for both parties. SitWithSenior only facilitates this introduction and booking. We are not a party to the guidance, advice, or discussion that takes place in a session, and we do not employ Mentors.
2. Eligibility & Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to register as a Mentor. Seekers who are minors should use the Platform only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it updated. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your login credentials confidential.
3. Mentor Verification
Mentors submit their professional details and credentials, which our team reviews before a profile is made public. While we take reasonable steps to verify the information provided, SitWithSenior does not independently guarantee the accuracy of every credential, the quality of any guidance, or that a session will meet your specific expectations. Badges such as “IITian”, “IAS”, or “MBBS” reflect claims that were reviewed by our team, not a warranty of outcome.
4. Booking & Session Flow
When a Seeker sends a booking request, no amount is charged. Once the Mentor confirms the request, the Seeker completes payment to lock the slot, after which a Google Meet link is created and shared with both parties. Sessions are 30 minutes and conducted over Google Meet at the scheduled time (IST). Both parties are expected to join on time.
5. Session Fees & Payments
Each Mentor sets their own session fee. Payments are processed securely through our third-party payment partner, Razorpay; by paying, you also agree to Razorpay’s applicable terms. Mentors receive 80% of the session fee, and the Platform retains 20% as a service fee. Mentor payouts are made to the payout details provided by the Mentor after the applicable holding period. We do not store your full card or banking credentials on our servers.
6. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Please read it before booking a session.
7. Mentor & Seeker Conduct
You agree to use the Platform and any contact details shared through it only for legitimate career-guidance purposes, and never for spam, harassment, solicitation of unrelated products, sharing of unlawful content, or any illegal activity. Sessions may not be recorded without the other party’s consent. Mentors agree to attend confirmed sessions and to provide honest, good-faith guidance.
8. Guidance Disclaimer
Guidance shared in a session reflects a Mentor’s personal experience and opinion. It is not professional, legal, medical, financial, or investment advice, and it is not a guarantee of any admission, job, promotion, or other outcome. Decisions you make based on a session are your own responsibility.
9. Prohibited Activities
You may not attempt to take confirmed bookings off-platform to avoid fees, scrape or bulk-extract profile or contact data, impersonate any person or organization, post false or misleading information, or interfere with the Platform’s operation or security. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
10. Limitation of Liability
The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SitWithSenior is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for the conduct, quality, safety, or outcome of any session or arrangement made between users. Our total liability for any claim relating to a session is limited to the amount you paid us for that session.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh.
